About Curva & Associates
Curva and Associates' staff has participated in strategic planning and development for the Task Force on Disabilities (a legislatively created group). The plan was presented to the Legislature and the Executive Branch of government. Staff also participated in similar activities with the Family Source of Florida, a statewide organization addressing child abuse and prevention programs.

In the area of health and human services, Curva and Associates has been involved in several research projects. In particular, they participated as part of the research team in the CASERA Project, a project funded by the Retirement Research Foundation through the University of Florida and Margaret Lynn Duggar and Associates. The project documented the unmet needs of elder tenants in Florida's rent subsidized housing. Curva and Associates assisted in an analysis of federal legislation and national model programs of rent-subsidized housing, conducting focus group research, development of model programs for Florida, and development of the final report.

Curva and Associates also served on the research team to study the feasibility of a geriatric medical education program at Florida State University for Margaret Lynn Duggar and Associates and MGT of America as commissioned by the Florida Legislature. They were responsible for the development and analysis of several survey instruments. This included surveys of state and national medical education programs and health care organizations. Curva and Associates assisted in the compilation and preparation of the final report submitted to MGT of America on geriatric medical education.

Staff of Curva and Associates directed the Florida statewide evaluation of all juvenile justice residential programs in 1995, tracking some 120,000 youth through the state system. In addition, staff developed the protocol for monitoring these programs.
