Development
Curva and Associates provides organizational capacity building, staff development and training, and grant writing services. In the area of organizational capacity building, Curva and Associates assist in developing plans of action to develop coalitions and community organizations, developing assessment tools, and providing a report of the process and implementation of the plan for use in ongoing program improvements.

Curva and Associates has provided several staff development and training in the areas of evaluation and advocacy. We developed the curriculum for the Summer Leadership Institutes on Evaluation for the Florida Department of Health and Florida State University. Curva and Associates also conducted two of the regional workshops on the curriculum developed for staff of the Department of Health, Florida State University, and Tobacco Community Partnerships staff representing over 30 counties in Florida. We also conducted a training workshop on the research and evaluation designs to recipients of the American Heart Association Youth Fitness and Tobacco Education Prevention and Education Programs and the Artful Truth, Healthy Propaganda Arts Project. We have also presented results of these and other projects at conferences throughout Florida. In advocacy, Curva and Associates conducted intensive workshops at the Florida Council on Aging Conference and to pharmaceutical representatives for Creative Political Foundations.

In the area of grantwriting, Curva and Associates has co-authored several grants in the areas of medical education, mental health, aging, disabilities, and human services; primary and secondary school science teacher education and training; and museum-based educational programs.
